Training
For service providers in the Greater Toronto area supporting survivors of commercial sexual exploitationIt’s essential that those who come in contact with survivors of commercial sexual exploitation understand the unique challenges they face. Rising Angels offers survivor-led training for service providers, front-line workers, and anyone who may interact with women impacted by this trauma. Our training is designed to ensure that those providing care do not inadvertently cause further harm while learning how to support healing and recovery.

We provides specialized training for:
Service providers
Frontline workers
Laypersons who may encounter exploited women
It is essential that those working with victims of commercial sexual exploitation understand the realities these women face. Without this knowledge, even well-intentioned efforts can inadvertently cause further harm.
“Absolutely amazing and well planned out training session… to be able to hear first hand from survivors, understand how they may feel and trust made this session incredible.”
Our workshop is facilitated by Katarina MacLeod, a survivor of 15 years of commercial sexual exploitation, and Sheila Howlett, a mentor and life coach who has supported Katarina since 2011. Together, they bring powerful, first-hand experience to the training.
